She said,” I feel like a heroine is not a heroine for the time she spends on a camera. A heroine is a heroine for the life that she lives and the way she impacts people to watch her and for the choices that she makes.”
She adds on,” I always try myself to be instinctive about what I’m picking and to see that the girl that I’m going to play is a wholesome creature. She has to have heart and soul and and courage and agency and a mind of her own.”
The Padmavat actress says,” So many times it’s like the gun has been pointed out at me and it’s like you’re always vulnerable in your films and I’m like ofcourse that’s very much a part of my nature.”
She confronts,”But I look at my vulnerability as one of my greatest strengths because I think it takes a courage to be a person who can look you in the eye and tell you that this is what I fear, this is what I feel.”
” It takes a lot of courage to do that and I think a lot of my characters are characters like that who are unafraid to show their vulnerability and I do look for that when I play parts that they should be a nice.”
She says,” I would give all the credit to the director actually. Even Mehrunisa, for thinking of a part like that for creating her and for pushing an actor into creating a very wholesome girl.”
