Farhan Akhtar is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter, dialogue writer, playback singer, lyricist, producer and television host who works in Hindi films. Born in Mumbai to screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, he grew up under the influence of the Indian film industry.
Shibani Dandekar Akhtar is an Indian-born Australian singer, actress, host and model. She began her career working as a television host on American television. Following her return to India, she began hosting several shows and events on Hindi television, besides working as a model and singer. She was one of the co-hosts of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. She was also a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 (2012) and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 (2017).
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are one of the most loved couples of Bollywood. The duo, who tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony last year complete one year of wedded bliss today. Their low-key, yet intimate ceremony was attended by Shibani’s sister Anusha Dandekar, Rhea Chakraborty, Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan and his family, Amrita Arora and others.
Earlier today, Farhan shared a few of his wedding pics and penned a romantic note for his wife. Sharing two pics, the filmmaker said, “Happy 365 @shibaniakhtar .. here’s to infinity.” His wife commented on the post and wrote, “Foo,” and dropped heart-eyed emoji.
In the first pic, the two are sharing a candid moment in front of the camera. In the next, the two are seen sharing a kiss where Farhan looks dapper in a black tuxedo, while Shibani wore a custom-designed lehenga from Jade by Monica and Karishma.
As soon as Farhan dropped the images, Abhishek Bachchan posted a hugging face emoji on his post, while Sussanne Khan commented, “Happy anniversary to u both.” Amrita Arora, Ira Dubey and others also showered love on the couple.
Farhan Akhtar was earlier married to Adhuna Bhabani and shares two daughters, Shakya and Akira Akhtar with her. They both amicably separated in 2017 and coparent their kids.
