The Filmfare Awards initially started off as an entity that honoured excellence in Hindi cinema. Following that, they included South cinema , followed by Marathi, Bengali and even Punjabi cinemas. Two years ago, they started the OTT Awards and the industry warmly welcomed the move and has been with them every step of the way. The response to the property has been fabulous, what with both the creators and viewers giving it a big thumbs up.
Last year, some of the big winners were Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, Gullak Season 2, and The Family Man 2, while Samantha, Pratik Gandhi, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui proved to be the top winners in the acting field. This year they merged Short Film Awards with the OTT Awards, bringing a gamut of possibilities to the property. They were sure this year the event will reach higher heights and turn into an even bigger bonanza.
Every Actor desire to get award for their work . Nominations were announced by Filmfare on 14th December 2022 .The ceremony was held on 21 December 2022 in Mumbai. It was hosted by Gauahar Khan and Maniesh Paul.
