Shahid Kapoor talked about his debut on Big screen and now on small screen and the dynamics.
Talking about when he felt that he needs to take the step towards OTT. He said,” I don’t chase the next big thing.”
He says,” I don’t fall in the category of personality. I actually have the tendency of doing the opposite. I don’t like to run in the direction which everybody’s running into.”
” I prefer to find my own path and I prefer to take up things that are challenging and that I really believe in deeply.”
He spoke,” Inherently my choices are not those of conventions. So for me the choice of doing Farzi actually happened before the pandemic hit us.”
He added,” My conversation with Raj and DK was kind of actually one yera before I had said yes to Farzi. I started looking out for OTT Content and I didn’t find any. “
” I was like I wanted to do something on OTT because I had started enjoying watching OTT q lot. I felt there’s great merit in picking a part that allows you to kind of the audience a long experience and kind of be sitting in their house, bed and comfort.”
He continued,” and consuming it as in how they want because I think it makes a different kind of place in the audiences heart which is different from going into a theatre.”
“This is a very personal and private kind of thing which you can consume in the way which you like to. So I wanted to do that but ut took me a year to find this story with Raj and DK.”
He said,” It took us another three years to make it . So I would say that about five years I was wanting to do something on the digital platform for almost five years now.”
