Swara Bhasker shared a couple of photos of her green outfit from her sangeet ceremony on her latest Instagram post. The actor looked stunning in a green lehenga, twinning with her husband Fahad Ahmad in a green bandhgala. The couple had a court marriage and announced that they submitted their papers on January 6 under the Special Marriage Act. They recently celebrated various pre-wedding functions such as haldi, mehendi, and sangeet with their family and friends. The actor has been sharing photos and videos of their wedding festivities on Instagram and Twitter.
Taking to her Instagram to share the latest pictures, Swara gave a closer look at her heavily embroidered green lehenga for her sangeet ceremony. In some of the pictures she can be seen twinning with Fahad in a green kurta pyjama too. She also wrote in the caption: “Like a Queen in green courtesy my fave @rahulmishra_7 … Giving @fahadzirarahmad also princely vibes! (green heart emoticons)” In a separate post, Swara posted another set of pictures from the Sangeet ceremony, where she was seen sitting with Fahad and enthusiastically reacting to the performances ahead. She captioned the post, “Sangeet night in Rahul Mishra! (green heart and star emoticon)”
Swara and Fahad’s wedding reception was held in Delhi and it was attended by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, TMC leader Derek O’Brien and actor Jaya Bachchan among others. For the occasion, Swara wore a pink and golden lehenga and Fahad opted for a cream-coloured sherwani and white pyjama.
Swara Bhasker had announced her wedding last month. She had shared the news on her social media and tagged Fahad, who is the state president of Samajwadi Party’s youth wing – Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha. Sharing a video of them together, she wrote, “Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along.
We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours!” Retweeting her post, Fahad wrote: “I never knew chaos can be so beautiful. Thank you for holding my hand love @ReallySwara.”
Swara was last seen in the buddy comedy film Jahaan Chaar Yaar. The film also starred Meher Vij, Pooja Chopra, and Shikha Talsania. She is currently working on a film titled Mrs Falani.
