Rani Mukherjee while promoting her upcoming movie expressed one of her guilt
She said,” It was very shocking for me to have heard the story for the first time.”
She reacted,” The fact that I didn’t know about the story though it was extensively being spoken about in media channels in 2011 and I kept going back in 2011.”
She said,” I was thinking that how come I didn’t catch this news.”
She expressed saying,” I realised that they’re lot of people in the world like me in India and abroad who don’t know about this case.”
She says,” That triggered my first instinct to be part of this film.”
” I said that this is a story that needs to be told to the people, it’s an important story, not only the story of this fabulous mother of the strong mother who kind of fought the battle against all odds to get her children back.”
She said,” It’s also the story about how people are treated in another country where they go to make another country their home.”
” It had so much of things that it spoke about. About immigrant family, their plights, about what happens like to people who come from different cultures.”
She continued saying,” There’re so many sublayers of the film that I said this film has to be told and the fact that people have received the way we intended it to be received.”
Rani stated,” They’ll always sample a film that they feel from distance that this is a story that we need to know.”
