After getting married at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Bollywood’s Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani returned to Delhi on Wednesday evening. The couple had only landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, and photos of them have gone viral.
Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra were more than happy to pose for photographs and even offered them wedding sweets.
The celebrity couple also thanked the photographers. Their fans appreciated their thoughtful and kind gesture.
Although they left Jaisalmer wearing Western attire, upon arrival in Delhi, the two were dressed in traditional Indian red.
Sidharth stepped out of the airport in a red kurta, white pajamas, and an embroidered shawl; Kiara, on the other hand, wore a red suit. Her look was completed with minimal makeup, mangalsutra, and pink chooda. Her sindoor was unmissable in the pictures.
If reports are to be believed, Kiara will receive a grand “griha pravesh” at Sidharth’s Delhi residence.
According to the Punjabi ritual, the new bride and groom receive a welcome from the groom’s family, where the mother greets the couple with aarti, and the bride enters the house by tossing a rice vessel with her right foot.
As Sidharth hails from a Punjabi family, fans assume that Kiara’s griha pravesh will happen similarly.
Sidharth and Kiara married on February 7 with close friends and family members in attendance.
For the ceremony, Kiara donned a Manish Malhotra-designed pink lehenga, which featured intricate embroidery detailing Roman architecture. It was inspired by the extraordinary love the newlyweds share for the city of domes.
The new bride chose diamond jewelry by Manish Malhotra for her big day. The neckpiece features an exquisite composition of ultra-fine hand-cut diamonds crafted with rare Zambian emeralds
The sherwani features classic signatures, hints of ivory threadwork, gold zardozi, and badla work; all handcrafted with utmost finesse. He completed his look with Polki jewelry studded with excellent uncut diamonds for the perfect regal look.
